all r legends
Shankly built a league 2 side to win the top division multiple times and would have enjoyed as much sucess as paisley enjoyed if he hadn't taken a maniacal decision to retire prematurely
Paisley was great ,but he just built on what was left by Shanks
Ferguson made manchester united the best team in the world, but in his 24 year reign he has one just slightly more than half of what paisley won in his 9 year reign as liverpool manager. He has won even less than Shanks, but there on no arguing that he's is a living legend.
Whom do u think is the greatest?

All three men are legends of the game

Shankly built the foundations and Paisley built the house

When Ferguson came he didn't really bother with the First team and instead imposed himself on the youngsters at Man United and made them his, like made them loyal to him and answer ONLY to him

Like when he won the league in 1993 Bryan Robson made the minimum amount of appearances to get a medal and he was meant to be the captain

Sir Alex made sure his word was final and thats partly the reason why he's been so successful

I'd say Sir Alex because he single handedly transformed Man United into what they are today

Before him they were mid table nobodies

Liverpool was the work of two men

For me it has to be Jock Stein,as just imagine what his managerial carreer in England with local talent would've been-won more than Shanks,Paisley,Ferguson in a short space of time-A TRUE LEGEND

Out of those 3,i'd say Shanks as he built the legendary bootroom,it was then passed on to Paisley who added not many at the prices that made sense and won 3 European Cups,as for Ferguson i was surprised he never got sacked as he ripped the heart out of Utd(mind you since the Busby era,did they have spine?)trying to win that elusive top tier title since the late great MB all the years passed-in the modern game then Ferguson as he has installed an efficient winnin mentality .

Fergie took a long time and a hell of a lot of money to build United up.

Paisley and Shanks built a dynasty between them with relatively little money going out which dominated simultaneously at home and in Europe - something Fergie still hasn't managed.

Dont underestimate how much building Paisley did after Shanks left - he made significant changes and signings himself and built two completely different teams to conquer europe. He's still the only manager to have bagged 3 European Cups.
