If I wear Manchester United merchandise at other cities, will I get stared or will anything happen to me?

I bought this fleece beanie at the old trafford Manchester United stadium because I'm heading towards Scotland and I thought it could come in handy up there, and I'm aware of some rivalry between football teams can get gruesome somehow so I don't know if I should wear it.

No people generally don't care what you are wearing (as long as it's not a Burka! then people start etting double standards and caring what cloth people wear)... you might get the odd comment or smirk here or there though
