Question:
Out of Leeds and Southend: Whose got the better chance of gaining promotion back to the CCC for nxt season?

I'm a Southend United fan and have been utterly heart broken this season at our lack of consistancy.
The worst we did was beat Man United!

We should have sold Freddy Eastwood for £6 million when we had the chance...now we'd be lucky to get half a million for him.

Yeah we had some good results but we WEREN'T CONSISTENT! 5-0 over QPR, 3-3 with Norwich, 3-2 over Preston and of course (not forgetting) 1-0 over Man United!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I must admit that I'd rather be a Southend fan than a Leeds fan at this minute...what a fall from grace they've taken. Champions league six years ago now they're going to be playing in the 3rd tier of English football!

I bet you that Leeds' fall from grace, is the most dramatic of any former top flight team!!!!

southend have. leeds going into administration is just the beginning of the end for them, no club to call their own, no training ground of their own, a manager who has no experience of lower league football and a bunch of players who have no pride or passion for the club. southend have a manager who has experience of this league, players who want to play for the club and after having a taste of championship football will be hell bent on getting there again.

if eastwood stays your laughing and if he goes you could still get enough money to buy 2 or 3 experienced players of this level. i for one have been impressed with the managers skills and am sure southend will at least finish in a play off spot next season.

Although in theory Leeds are a bigger club, they are facing severe financial difficulties and relegation will be a lot more harmful to them than to Southend. I am a Millwall fan (now, now!) and therefore am used to a roller coaster ride through the football league. If Southend can keep their squad together (which they have a better chance of doing than Leeds), then you should be ok. I am a big fan of Freddie Eastwood and was very impressed with the quality of the football played in your promotion season. Don't worry, surely the prestige of playing Millwall next season will make up for it! Up the Shrimpers! P.S: don't forget Leeds were premiership champions 92-93!

i am a leeds fan and i think southend are most likely to be promoted back to the CCC because Leeds may be going into administration meaning we start the season on minus 10 points!!!

I've got sympathy for you and I'm a Manchester United fan. I do hope things get better for you next season. As the song said when Labour got into power 10 years ago, "Things can only get better." Unless you're really s**t and you can't even beat s**t teams in a division as low as that. I agree with you about Leeds United and I'd be ashamed of my team right now if I was a die hard Leeds fan. But I'm sorry to dissappoint, in answer to your question, I believe Leeds will do more better than you in getting promoted back to the Championship. Sorry.

Im a Preston fan and watched the game where we lost 3-2 to Southend. It was a great game and you deserved to win. You have some good players and when Nugent goes to the Prem, it would be great if Preston could afford to buy Freddy Eastwood. I'll be shouting for you to go straight up but it will be difficult. Good luck.

Leeds - easily!

Administration will clear their debts, then they will buy a whole new team and win league one. They'll probably try and buy Freddie Eastwood!!

If you remember Man City were in the old division 2 a few years ago, and Forrest are there at the moment, however I agree Leeds beat them both!!

Okay I'll hold my hands up as an Ipswich fan and say that you deserved to beat us at Portman Road this season. Keep the same attitude next season and you will be back, Steve Tilson is a fine manager.
