Question:
Why do some teams (like Liverpool and Chelsea) use their back up 'Keepers sooo rarely?

When I look at United , Lindegaard has been used many times ..and last season Kuzsack played a fair few games

And similar with City - they play Pantilimon in quite a few Cup matches

But Liverpool and Chelsea use Reina and Cech even in Cup games..

Q: If they have already decided to adopt such a policy, then why not let the Youth team 'Keeper be the second choice (so that he'd benefit from training alongside Cech)? Why have some old back ups (like Doni and Hilario) or waste people who can get first team action elsewhere? (Brad Jones and Turnbull)

I can't figure that out , it's not as if their no2's are crap... look at Cudicini .. Can't believe he sacrificed his international career to be a human water bottle for Chelsea's bench

Liverpool: If a single snapshot could be said to encapsulate just how far Liverpool have regressed as a club in this waking nightmare of a season, then surely it came with 10 minutes remaining of their 2-0 loss at Newcastle - a result which represented a sixth defeat in seven games in the league. With all expect on sent off....BRAD JONES was lucky not to have bin sent off too

City: Are all about money and hence to the reasons why only the majority are backing them to win the league this year. it will be the team who doesn't get the refs to help them out now that gives you a hint who i'm backing.

Chelsea: Weren't even worth 4th place when Andre Villa Boas was there I mean he wasn't getting them anywhere. Hence to why they've only started playing well under Matteo. I believe he'll be the man to take the job full time

Q: Liverpool have lost two keepers all due to how bad their season is heading. I mean 2 keepers now only able to rely on Brad Jones but in all fairness he was lucky to escape a yellow if they lost him they'd be dooomed!!!

simple - because reina and cech are two of the best keepers in the world who could get into any team. Why would you use someone who's worse when you've got the best? The word "Back Up" keeper says it all. They are there for when they need to cover for the number 1.

Lindegaard has been at utd for two years and has made just eight appearances .

Kuszczak has been at utd for five years and has made just 26 appearances .

Once again your question carries no weight !

Edit ,

Brad jones was out for over a month with a shoulder injury and then took a sabbatical when his son was sick

Next !

Edit ,

At least you're not alone in talking shite .

Wtf Kim is on about I do not know !
