Question:
Everton fans WHAT is wrong with Everton?
2009-07-08 14:55:38 UTC
Everton FC great history a very good mannager and top 5 last two seasons. Why is it every Billionaire never gives them even the breifest glance, Even Newcastle are attracting investors. Pompey getting a Billionaire, Southampton get a Billionaire. Man City a Multi Billionaire owner. Everton at the moment do not look as if they could attract swine flu..lol sorry just a little joke. But seriously how big are Evertons debts? is it the Debt? The Club? The Players and Manager? what is it that no one wants to invest in Everton. Even QPR have Multi Millionaire owners. All Everton fans have is Bill Kenright. What can be done Everton fans? I like Moyes he is one of the most gifted managers in the EPL. But what do Everton need to do to get that investment? Ground share with Liverpool? Merge with Liverpool?
Have your say.

Well th problem with both with us (Liverpool) and Everton is that we need a new ground , And the tumbling point to all the new owners is that they dont want to pay a lot for the old stadiums because practically thats dead weight.

In Liverpool case anyone who wants to takeover the club will have to pay about 350-400 Million Pounds , that includes the estimated value of anfield too , but buyers don't want to pay for the old stadium as they have to invest in a new one.

Moreover another thing is the price , investors can buy a small club for say under 150 Million Pound and they can give the mangers a large transfer kitty. But in case of Liverpool the potential owners will have to spend a lot to buy the club , so they generally go for the rather easy and less costly option if buying a club of low value and try turning into a big club , exactly why Abramovich bought Chelsea and why Man City were taken over , due to half the price in which anyone can takeover Liverpool.

If everton need to find and owner they also need to move to a new stadium.

I'd rather be in Everton's position than Newcastle or Southampton.

Maybe they are doing OK and are not for sale? All these clubs with rich investors could go under when their owners decide to jump ship, as most have no affiliation to the clubs and are just there to make a quick buck.

A well run club like Everton could come to the fore when this happens, who knows...

Actually that is a good Question because they are on the up and improving with very little funds. It would be nice to see someone plunge some investment their way.

I guess with a merger, some may agree but I think Evertonians are strong and have their sense of pride. Would you merge with us at United?

Hopefully good things will come for Everton. Good luck to them this season.

There are nothing really wrong with Everton. They are doing all they can with the money they have.

You are not going to challenge the top 4 + Man City if you don't have the kind of $$$...

It will be the TOP 5 in the future...

they've been for sale for decades - nobody wants them.

Crap ground, fickle fans, always overshadowed by their neighbours, no real prospects of getting further than have have done, cheer more when liverpool lose than when Everton win (They actually called their new club store "Everton 2" just so that it's address would be "Everton 2 liverpool 1"

Cant wait for them to move to Kirkby

LMAOOOO.... since when is not selling your a.ss to first criminal a bad thing.... RESPECT TO EVERTON FOR NOT SELLING THEIR PRIDE!!!!!!!!!

Man City became a joke, weren't they ''people's club''???

edit: I hate EPL?? HAHAHA... I watch more EPL than I watch La Liga.... I just don't like (not hate) people like you that don't know sh!t about football but love to act smart... EPL never was or never will be better than La Liga... I know this, football experts know this, the whole world knows this but you English poor souls are still blindfolded :D:D:D:D:D... maybe when you spend few more billions you can catch La Liga but never be better ........ and btw what was your name before this one because I don't know who you are but you sound familiar.

Everton is respected club... like Man City used to be... remember??? Did you ever heard anyone talk sh!t about Man City before they sold out???

edit: ''Man city have not sold out they are embarking on a new project''.... oh really and where did they got the money for this new project??? Come on man, stop embarrassing yourself acting like you know anything about football outside of Manchester.... and no matter what you do or say here you won't convince anyone that you're not ashamed of your own club right now, every true fan would be ashamed of his club if they decided to sell out.
